It's unfortunate, but many search firms are all too happy to accept your retainer and not hold themselves accountable. But at cgsQuest, we take every engagement seriously.
We won't even take on searches unless we're confident that we can successfully
complete them.
It is our policy to participate in no more than a handful of searches at any one time. That way, we can ensure the attention you deserve and the likelihood of your search success.
When you work with cgsQuest, we:
1. Get to know your business inside and out. By immersing ourselves in your company, culture and goals, we'll understand the tangibles and intangibles that will help make a candidate the right match. Understanding what people appreciate about your company will help us sign the right person when the time comes, and help us avoid matches that may look good on paper, but aren't the right personality fit.
2. Seek out the hidden talent. We begin with a detailed profile to help us mine referrals, as well as a list of target companies to call on. These may be your competitors, or organizations that aren't such obvious sources – surprising places where we might find the skills, experience and attitudes you're looking for.
3. Interview the best of the best. We'll talk to a couple hundred potential candidates and referral sources in order to identify the best five to ten to personally interview. From that elite group, we'll recommend two to five candidates for you to interview. In addition to providing full background information on each one, we'll be sure to represent your company's interests, generating enthusiasm for making the leap.
4. Help close the hire. At cgsQuest, our responsibility extends far beyond identifying competent candidates. We believe we have a stake in helping you find that one right person, who understands and is willing to take a stake in your business strategy.

Our Methodology
At cgsQuest, we follow a rigorous and aggressive deadline to ensure you waste no time meeting the best candidates and bring the right person on board.
Week one. Meet with key client professionals to understand corporate culture, business objectives and the profile of the ideal candidate for the position. We will create a written position profile for your approval. And then generate a target list of competitive firms, vertically related and/or other agreed upon companies from which to recruit candidates.
Weeks two through three. Initiate research on the target organizations. Coupled with our database of contacts, we will contact a large number of people in order to find the most ideal candidates.
Weeks two through seven. Actively recruit candidates. Follow up with more extensive telephone interviews. Personal interviews are scheduled with the most qualified and interested candidates.
Weeks six through twelve. Present qualified and interested candidates to you with a written background report summarizing initial impressions, professional history, motivation for interest and compensation history.
Weeks six and through to conclusion. Conduct reference checks for finalist candidates.
Conclusion of search. Assist client with determining competitive offer and extend offer to successful candidate. Negotiate as needed.
